| GRADER INFORMATION
We build a range of revolving drum size grading machines to suit Chestnuts, Walnuts, Hazelnuts, Pecans etc.
Our latest models use plastic molded holding bins with port hole allowing for convenient inspection of graded nuts or manual quantity adjustment when bag filling directly from the bin.
GRADING RATE
Mini grader has a 375 mm diameter drum and an output rate of approx. 0.420 Cubic Meters/Hour.
Maxi grader has a 750 mm diameter drum and an output rate of approx. 1.2 Cubic Meters/Hour.
Maxi Twin grader has two 750 mm diameter drums and an output rate of approx. 2.4 Cubic Meters/Hour.
We can build larger capacity machines on request.
BIN CAPACITY
Mini Graders have a bin capacity of approx. 40 Litres.
Mini Graders with E after the model code have a bin capacity of approx. 100 Litres.
Maxi Graders have a bin capacity of approx. 350 Litres.
NUMBER OF GRADES AND SCREEN HOLE SIZES
The current standard sizes which we use are -:
Walnuts, 5 Grades— 25mm, 29mm, 32mm, 38mm. The largest nuts drop out of the end of the screen into the 5th grade bin.
Chestnuts, 7 Grades— 25mm, 29mm, 32mm, 35mm, 38mm, 41mm. The largest nuts drop out of the end of the screen into the 7th grade bin.
Hazel Nuts and Pecan Nuts, 5 Grades ,
Hole sizes can vary depending on varieties being graded and end use of nuts.
Grade sizes for nuts being sold in shell are usually set by the appropriate association.
Nuts being graded for cracking may have smaller increments between the grades.
We can supply any non standard screen hole sizes or number of grades as required.
SCREEN MATERIAL
The grading drum material is selected to suit the nuts being graded.
Plastic is usually used for chestnuts to minimize scratching and noise levels.
Metal is usually used for walnuts and hazelnuts.
Our Blue Berry grader uses a powder coated metal screen.
